Brittany completed her Bachelor of Kinesiology in the Athletic Therapy program at the University of Manitoba in 2016. She
Certified as an Athletic Therapist later that year and spent 6 years working both clinical and fieldwork with sports like
Hockey, Football and Rugby at the Regional and National levels. After having her two children, Brittany retired her title as
Athletic Therapist and became trained in Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy in 2024. Brittany is passionate about helping
children and adults maximize their health using a whole body approach to treatment. If you have some free time to chat, or

Carolynne is a registered Speech-Language Pathologist with the College of Speech and Language Pathologists of Manitoba (CASLPM). She graduated in 2018 from University of North Dakota with a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Upon graduation, Carolynne has been working as a preschool based SLP with a provincial outreach program serving clients with a variety of communication needs in rural Manitoba and several First Nation Communities. Carolynne is interested in speech sound disorders, motor speech disorders, and early language development. She has joined SPOT Speech to fuel a new found passion in orofacial myofunctional disorders, tethered oral ties, and healthy sleep habits as a result of her own children’s journey in this area. She strives to work with families to provide a family-centered approach to therapy and collaborate with other professionals involved in the children’s care in a holistic manner. Lindsay Knutson Smith is a Registered Manitoba Speech Language Pathologist. She graduated
from St. Cloud State University in 2010 with a Master of Science in Communication Disorders.
She is the founder and owner of SPOT Speech Pathology & Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy.
Lindsay has 12+ years of clinical experience in the education setting as a school based SLP,
serving culturally and linguistically diverse populations. After her third child was born with a
posterior tongue tie, Lindsay took the formal Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders training
through the International Association of Orofacial Myology (IAOM). This spurred her passion
and interest in the area of tongue function and structural considerations in Speech Therapy. She
has completed various Post Graduate trainings in TOTs (Tethered Oral Tissues), Oral
Dysfunction, Oral Structural Development and Function. Much of this training involves refining
how SLPs evaluate the oral mechanism and better educating families on the impact of tongue
and lip-ties on oral function. Areas of related interest: Sleep Disordered Breathing, TMJD,
Tongue Thrust therapy, Oral Habit elimination, Tongue tie, and how this all relates back to
speech clarity and holistic wellness. Lindsay is in the process of working towards a SAC (Speech
and Audiology Canada) Certification with a focus on Pediatric Feeding Disorders. Her passion is
to identify areas of need within our current health and education systems and to help to improve
information and access to supports for those areas.
